Facelift/Necklift

The facial aging process is a complex interplay of external and internal factors including sun exposure and genetics causing unwanted sagging of the skin, fine lines, deep wrinkles, jowling and uneven volume deflation.

A facelift, also called rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure designed to correct these cosmetic concerns. An expanding understanding of the intricate anatomy of the face has led to the evolution of various techniques. The skin-only approach has mostly been abandoned on account of its poor longevity. Modern techniques achieve improved rejuvenation of the face by recognizing and utilizing the superficial musculoaponeurotic system layer. This pivotal connective tissue overlies the facial muscles of the face and when manipulated in a SMAS LIft or undermined as in the Deep Plane facelift technique allows for profound long-lasting results. Incisions are meticulously planned to hide along natural creases along the ear, earlobe and onto the hairline as indicated and are virtually imperceptible.

Facial rejuvenation is a passionate topic of our surgeons, who approach each patient with an emphasis on providing a bespoke surgical plan to provide a natural looking rejuvenated appearance. Based on a comprehensive analysis this may involve combining various procedures or employing adjuncts such as fat grafting.

  • Blepharoplasty
  • Browlift
  • Buccal fat pad removal
  • Chin Augmentation
  • Lip Lift
  • Necklift
  • Facial Fat Grafting

Facial fat grafting refers to the harvesting of fat from one region of the body and transferring to the face to restore/enhance volume, smooth contour related wrinkles, and establish more youthful facial contours. Meticulous harvest and injection of the fat to the face affords enduring effective volume enhancement, beyond that provided by dermal fillers. Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Pathak regularly assess a patient’s candidacy for this versatile technique during their consultation as part of their facial analysis.
